These young people are and were
very excited about the coalition they formed, their commitment
to this project and they plan to energize and recruit their
peers when they return to their schools. Some of the activities
that they have planned include:
- Anti drug website; they are
hoping this website to be connected to our JMCSS website.
- PSA’s, billboards, drug free
block parties
- Fundraisers—basketball
tournaments (pass out literature); bake sales at lunch,
ribbons at games, etc.
They brainstormed and chose the
slogan ICE (Influencing Choices Everyday). The workshop began
with Dr. Zambito giving the welcome and words of encouragement.
