Elementary
In-School Suspension Program
Emphasis on proper classroom behavior begins early
in the Jackson-Madison County School System. Elementary students
who disrupt classes with inappropriate behavior will be sent to
an in-school suspension supervisor. They will do quiet, class work
for the remainder of the day. The isolation is usually enough to
deter further misbehavior.
Alternative
School
The West Jackson Learning Center serves students
who have been expelled. It is located at 227 McCowat Street.
