APPROVAL OF AGENDA
A motion was made to approve the agenda. This was unanimously approved.

DRESS CODE POLICY
Dr. Zambito explained changes and additions made to the proposed dress code policy after the public hearing that was held on Monday, May 21, 2007. A motion was made to accept the dress code policy. (See copy …… page 87)

Carol Carter-Estes asked about a statement that the principal would make certain that everybody is treated in the same manner. Dr. Zambito stated that the following statement would be added: these guidelines will be applied consistently to all students. Dr. Zambito stated if the dress code is passed the next step I will take will be to put together a group that includes students, teachers, administrators and parents to determine a consistent consequence approach and look at an incentive.

A vote was taken on Mr. Mays' motion with the added sentence. This was unanimously approved.

UNITARY STATUS – MEETING WITH COUNTY COMMISSION
Dale Conder, attorney, stated the County Commission had voted on Monday, May 21, 2007, not to participate in a private meeting but did indicate they would participate in a public meeting. A motion was made to change the private meeting to a public meeting.

After discussion, a vote was taken on Ms. Pride’s motion. This was unanimously approved.

A motion was made that at the public meeting all Board members be allowed to speak.

Ms. Carter-Estes stated for clarification that this would include county commissioners and parties involved

A vote was taken on Ms. Pride’s motion. This was unanimously approved.

Mr. Conder stated the public meeting would follow the same guidelines as a special called meeting.

A motion was made to adjourn. This was unanimously approved. The meeting adjourned at 6:15 p.m.
