Chris Couch Wins National FFA Award

Former Liberty student Chris Couch was named a national winner during the National FFA Convention held in Indianapolis, Indiana October 22-25, 2008. Couch, a 2007 graduate of Liberty Tech High School, was awarded the honor in the area of Fiber and/or Oil Crop Production - Entrepreneurship/Placement Proficiency.
The proficiency awards recognize outstanding student achievement in agribusiness gained through establishment of a new business, working for an existing company or otherwise gaining hands-on career experience. The Fiber and/or Oil Crop Production - Entrepreneurship/Placement Award is one of 47 proficiency program areas FFA members can participate in to develop valuable experience and leadership skills at the local, state, and national levels.
The National FFA Organization, formerly known as the Future Farmers of America, is a national youth organization of 507,763 student members - all preparing for leadership and careers in the science, business and technology of agriculture - as part of 7,439 local FFA chapters in all 50 states, Puerto Rico and the Virgin Islands. The FFA mission is to make a positive difference in the lives of students by developing their potential for premier leadership, personal growth and career success through agricultural education.

Congratulations To Chris !
