CRU
Creating Responsible Underclassmen

CRU is a student directed service organization that is designed to assist those students and families from Liberty and our community. CRU teaches young people the importance of servitude and reaching out into the community to help those in need.

Service Projects

  • CRU recognizes a student and employee of the month.

  • Liberty teachers are recognized with a gift each April.

  • 47 families received boxes of food at
    Thanksgiving.

  • 13 residents at Shady Rest received Christmas gifts.

  • CRU partners with YELL at Old Hickory Mall to promote reading through the Read Across America program.

  • Last year CRU helped support 10 families that experienced death or sickness with their "We Care Baskets".

  • Liberty students collect non-perishable food items which are maintained in the CRU pantry for distribution to families in need.

  • Students are collecting money and calling cards for our troops stationed in Iraq.

  • CRU recognizes our Liberty bus drivers.

  • CRU sponsors a party for Liberty's special needs students.

  • Students visit the Kiwanis Center monthly to read to children, help with crafts, and host birthday parties.

CRU BLOCKS
You can support this worthwhile organization and at the same time honor a special person or advertise your business in a high traffic area of Liberty High School. CRU sells Blocks in one of our main hallways for $25. The blocks are a continuing legacy of your generosity. This monetary gift will be used to help students at Liberty and our feeder schools stay focused on getting a good education through times of crisis. For more information contact the school at 731-423-9086.
