Matt Haynes To Play Baseball At
U.T. Martin

Matt Haynes has become the first Liberty High School
baseball player in school history to sign a scholarship to play for an NCAA
Division
I
program. The signing took place in the schools theater with faculty, students,
and members of the media looking on.
Haynes, a pitcher and infielder
who started three years for the Crusaders, will play next year for the
University of Tennessee at Martin. Matt was second on the team last season in
batting average, was selected to the all-tournament team, and was named an
all-district player for two years. Congratulations to Matt for this great
accomplishment.
